So buckwheat doesn’t actually contain wheat. A pseudo-cereal grain, buckwheat is in fact a fruit seed! As if this health stuff wasn’t confusing enough right. 

  • A source of protein; 11-14g of protein per 100g serving. 
  • Buckwheat is a valuable crop for cultivation in today’s climate, as it grows well even in acidic and under-fertilized soil. 
  • Gluten free 
  • Soba noodles are made with buckwheat – choose 100% buckwheat where possible, otherwise wheat grain is mixed in. 
  • A source of B-complex vitamins.
